You are expected to work onyour own initiative with respect to defined goals and objectivesset by your manager. Accountabilities We are looking for someonewho will work closely with customers, Business Analysts, andProduction support team members to understand business needs andrequirements to drive the analysis, design and construction ofquality technical solutions.
- Involved in the full systems lifecycle and is responsible for analysis, troubleshooting,
designing,coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications softwarethat is delivered on time.
- Makes recommendations towards thedevelopment of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Run queries tosupport production tickets analysis and as a reference to assistwith operational workarounds
- Provides guidance and training toless experienced analysts and programmers.
- Understand how theBank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered inday-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effectiveand efficient operations of his / her respective areas in accordancewith Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global SalesPrinciples, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to andeffectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligationswith respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions andconduct risk.

- Have experience working with authenticated,
customerfocused software
- Have deep knowledge and experience with REST APIdesign, Java Spring Boot
- Have experience with one modern JSframework specifically, React
- Have built accessible andinternationalized web applications before (Java, J2EE)
- You haveexcellent communication skills, problem solving skills, andattention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, manage timeeffectively and work within tight timelines.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- A proactive, positive, andflexible attitude. A real team player.
- Exposure to CRM,Decisioning, Robotics, or another strategic Pega application (PegaFrameworks).
- Experience with Cloud Foundry, Spring MVC framework,Git, SVN and Bitbucket
- Excellent consulting and presentationskills.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching and motivationalskills Working Conditions
