Job Description The Back-End Engineer (BEE) is responsible for completing back-end tasks and providing support to multiple applications.
The BEE can work independently in basic tasks, assuming ownership for the design and programming required.
For more complex work, this individual will rely on existing designs and seek guidance from more senior positions. The BEE should also be able to provide reasonable estimates for tasks.
A BEE works with multiple applications and a variety of back-end technologies including PHP, . NET, and Java, and is comfortable with content management systems and e-commerce platforms. KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams to ensure quality and punctual software development. 2. Implement technical solutions following the capability’s best practices. 3. Debug or troubleshoot simple issues in existing software applications.
4. Provide feedback on policies and procedures when an opportunity for improvement exists. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establish positive, trust-based relationships with Offshore and Onshore team members.
2. Effectively prioritize their own tasks. 3. Own the creation of documentation of projects and present improvement ideas. 4.
Participate actively in team meetings aiding in tasks estimations and provide accurate risk assessments.
5. Proactively participate in knowledge transfer and ramp up of new team members. 6. Manage difficult situations by proactively seeking solutions within the team. 7. Proactively seek feedback and create action plans based on it.
8. Own their tasks and their impact within their account. 9. Create craft strategies and approaches. 10. Participate proactively in the Craft initiatives such as creating and or presenting workshops.
11. Develop and implement innovation of world-class business process workflows, and next-generation process technologies for Publicis clients. 12. Support the discovery, design, recommendation, development, implementation, and ongoing support of client process workflows. 13.
Participate in the continuous growth of the organization’s collaborators.
14. Ensure the continuous improvement of the processes related to the accounts, projects and teams in which they are involved. 15. Participate in the Performance program as a Performance manager. Qualifications MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 2. More than 2 years of software development experience. 3. AWS development background and experience in NodeJS as their primary development language.
4. Basic work experience with data storage patterns and practices, namely relational (SQL) and/or non-relational (NoSQL, MongoDB) platforms. GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS /KNOWLEDGE: 1. CI and CD
