science and ingenuity to profoundly change the trajectory of health for humanity.The Regional Payroll & HR Compliance Supervisor can be based in Bogota or Sao Paulo.This role is responsible for the oversight of all compliance activities in Latin America. The position will report to the Global Finance Compliance Manager who is currently based in Bogota, Colombia.The Payroll delivery organization within Global Services provides accounting services that span across the following key controls: Master File Maintenance, Payroll Processing, Benefits, Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Payroll Cutoff, Sales Commissions, Interfaces, and User Access /SOD. These services are provided through resources deployed in approximately 78 countries across the globe. Focused on providing compliance leadership to those Latam respective countries by ensuring all Compliance Requirements are met that are owned per the compliance taxonomy. Work in partnership with the Regional Compliance Team, HR and HRIT Shared Services, Senior Leadership, Corporate Internal Audit (CIA), and External Auditors. This role will support the overall planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of the SOX and non-SOX Compliance programs and activities for the regions in scope and Compliance SLA´s with the Business Sectors.Key Responsibilities:1. Execution of compliance responsibilities between GS Compliance Payroll, Corporate Internal Audit, HR, HRIT, and Operations within the following compliance areas:
(A) Training & Awareness
(B) Advisory & Consultation
(C) Audit Support
(D) SOX 404 Activities
(E) Corrective Action / Design of Controls
(F) Operational Activities
(G) User Access Management.
NOTE: The role will also require picking up compliance activities as it relates to Human Resources (HR)
2. Drive the execution of the SOX Program (404), specific to remediation of control gaps.
3. Support internal audits, external audits and government audits.
4. Partner with HR Operations and IT on policies, procedures and service delivery strategies across the organization within developed Governance Boards.
5. Liaison with Operating Companies to discuss escalated compliance payroll related issues, policies, procedures and make recommended adjustments as necessary.
6. Role modeling our Credo behaviors and delivery on our Credo Commitments. Living and modeling We Belong.
7. Provides compliance status updates to supervisor and stakeholders on key performance indicators of compliance.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWe are looking professionals with these characteristics:
Bachelor's degree required with subject matter expertise in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources with emphasis on payroll or related business field
Desirable certification in CPP, CPA, CMA, CIA (according the country)
At least 3-5 years of expertise on internal controls, risk management and assessments, global shared services and business driven processes and methodologies
Payroll compliance experience is a plus.
Strong technical background in SOX 404 requirements such as walkthroughs, test of controls, entity level controls and etc.
Experience with an ERP system (Payroll modules of SAP preferred
Fully Bilingual English-Spanish is a must. Portuguese is a plus.
This position can be based in Bogota (Colombia) or Sao Paulo (Brazil). Mobility process not available
Travel: This job will be performed within a corporate office environment, with 15-25% travel requirements
Must have the ability to interact with employees at all levels and possess excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
