In this role, you will oversee all communications and public and government affairs activities for a region, cluster of countries or Business Unit. You are a business adviser who promotes and protects Mondelēz International’s reputation by managing all media relations, crisis and issues communications, internally and externally, as well as public and government affairs advocacy, using integrated and strategic communications.
How you will contribute
You will drive the communications and government affairs agenda for the area in which you operate for all internal and external communications including media relations, stakeholder and political engagement, and partner with business unit leaders to support all aspects of internal and external communications and corporate affairs. In addition, you will be responsible for public affairs advocacy, government relations, trade association and issues management, by promoting leadership categories through effective external media engagement (including social media management), risk and issues management, best practice engagement systems and empowerment of team members. You will develop and implement the government affairs plan to enable the company to meet business objectives and to level the playing field in the industry, implement a local community engagement strategy aligned to global Mondelēz International philanthropic efforts, and ensure activities are delivered within budget.

- Communications, government affairs and issues management ideally in a large matrixed multinational and/or within a Public Relations agency
- Result-oriented and hands-on mentality
- Strategic orientation combined with a strong analytical & conceptual thinking
- Business acumen and ability to work under pressure with a sense of diplomacy
- An inclusive mindset and inspiring people management

Our Latin America region is comprised of four Mondelez International business units: Brazil, México, Southern Cone (which includes Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay) and WACAM (which includes 12 South American countries and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico); and one stand-alone market: Venezuela.
