Senior Data Engineer
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. This is a unique and highly technical role responsible for architecting data services, pipelines and reports. This role works with multiple data sources, data aggregation into data lakes, and data transformation into value. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. ·Analysis, organization and integration of raw data sources.
·Build data systems, data models and data pipelines.
·Work with key client stakeholders to evaluate business needs and priorities.
·Data interpretation for trending, patterns, value creation.
·Conduct complex data analysis and develop reports.
·Development of APIs to give easier access to data.
·Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
·Identify sources of raw data and data source integration.
·Use of data analytical tools, software and programs.
·Enhance data quality, reliability, efficiency and value.
·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
·5+ years of previous experience as a data engineer.
·2+ years of AWS experience used for big data analysis (EC2, RDS, S3, EMR).
·Technical expertise with data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
·Familiar with sophisticated analytics programs and statistical methods.
·Program development with Python and Pyspark.
·Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
·Experience with AWS EMR for big data processing (Hive, Hadoop, Presto, Spark, HBase, HDFS, YARN, MapReduce).
·Experience with ETL development to integrate and transform data.
·Prior work experience in a growth company.
