Since our founding in 1992, the Center has transformed how reproductive rights are understood and applied by courts, governments, and human rights bodies worldwide on issues including maternal health, abortion, assisted reproduction, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). We have won groundbreaking cases before national courts, U.N. Committees, and regional human rights bodies. Additionally,





the Center has led the development of historic, proactive legislation advancing robust protections for reproductive rights and has built the legal capacity of women's rights advocates in more than 65 countries and counting.**The Role**:The Center's Bogota Office is looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly organized intern with a commitment to reproductive rights issues to engage in a variety of mini projects related to the Colombia office. This internship will provide someone with experience in many aspects of as well as insight into the inner working of organizational management.The internship is full-time, beginning July 15, 2024 through January 15th, 2025.**Primary Responsibilities**:As an intern with LAC Office,





your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assist members of our legal team with researching and writing reproductive rights-related submissions to United Nations and regional human rights bodies.- Assist of our Advocacy team with monitoring and documenting of media coverage of the Center and updating media placements archives.- Bluebooking and fact-checking as needed for current reports and publications.- Support administrative duties.- Following up requests for hearings before the CIDH.- Monitoring CIDH reports (thematic and country reports).**Qualifications**:- Current student of Political Science,





International Relations or related careers.- Strong advocacy research and writing skills- Demonstrated an interest in gender/women's issues and reproductive rights- Taken Constitutional Law and International Law classes- Knowledge of human rights as well as a basic understanding of the Inter-American Human Rights System- Fluency in Spanish and English (B1), knowledge of Portuguese is a plus**Behavioral Competencies**:- Develop & Manage Self & Others: Takes ownership of individual growth in order to achieve full potential; recognizes the value of team members and helps them develop their full potential while also achieving set objectives.- Collaboration (People First): Works intra- and/or cross-departmentally to support the goals and overarching strategies of the Center and its strategic plan.- Feedback (Improve & Innovate): Actively engaged in feedback cycles: Gives and requests feedback to and from peers,
